I am A Marketer

I am A Marketer…. Not so fast. At best, I am Marketer looking to improving my skill and knowledge in this exciting field of study. That, I can say with a high degree of confidence. But to indeed be a Marketer is a significant climb. Marketers bring buyers and sellers to a place to exchange goods and services. Customers often see the products and services for the first time in this exchange. In other words, sometimes customers don’t know they need it until they see it for the first time. Marketers even create new markets where none existed before. Marketing is totality incredible. Thus, without their talent – products and services would not move throughout the market they developed. Also, the nice thing is, you don’t need a degree to be a Marketer!

Things Change for the Better

I spent many years in the industry and had the opportunity to work with corporate marketing occasionally. Also, I had courses in Marketing as a necessary part of my degree program. So I have a working opinion of their function, talent, and knowledge. They are the movers and shakers that make it all work. However, the world of Marketing has changed recently. Billboards are no longer the go-to media. The landscape for advertising is different – it’s digital verse print. Although TV is still a viable ad platform, Personal Computers and Cell Phones are reaching new customers. And the Marketplace where the exchange takes place is an online media platform. Moreover, today’s Marketer has enhanced skills and different methods to do the job. Even the name for the function has changed: it’s Digital marketing.

Although Fresh and New, Some things never change.

If you have yet to realize, Marketing has undergone a name change. Digital Marketing is the new function performed by Digital Marketers. And the place where you meet new and existing customers, competitors, and suppliers is through Internet platforms. Companies like Google, Facebook, and many other social media groups dominate this space. But who knows what the future holds – it’s changing very fast. So you need a new set of tools to compete in this evolving Digital Marketplace.

For the most part, you start with a computer, access to the internet, an instructor, and a wiliness to follow the steps of a proven system. Indeed, this is the winning formula. So there’s no need to blaze other trails. There’s plenty of room for us all to play.

Of course, not all has changed, just the methods used to conduct business. For example, You still require a means to match consumer needs to products and services. Posting helps. It drives interested customers to your posted site. Posting is an ad that describes product and service attributes. Consumers buy if they like and pass if not. Or it serves as a way for potential consumers to peruse your site, like window shopping. The higher the click rate, the more attractive the product or service appears. However, they also drive traffic through digital channels to promote the development and service awareness of Merchants. They continuously refresh content, monitor social interaction, and bolster the digital pipeline of their companies.

Keep in mind Digital Marketing provides a different way to access the interested consumer. Traditional Marketing, where you visit shops or stores to assess advertising and promotional need, still exist. However, the digital display has surpassed conventional print media over the last ten years. The new show, search and navigation devices are Desktop and Laptop PCs and Mobile Phones. The digital Marketer’s significant function is to drive website traffic by posting articles. Consumers can buy or leave information to become a lead for a future potential business.
Customer feedback is also important to shape the products and services to better appeal to consumer needs. Email gathers Product and Service feedback and Process likes and dislikes.
